This recently built home had a great location, but the family of four moving in needed more room. By bumping out the back of this Saratoga Springs home, Teakwood Builders was able to create a new screened porch and an airy great room open to the updated kitchen. Custom shelves were built in a little-used adjacent room, creating a cozy and multi-tasking library and home office space. The porch is built with barn beams from the homeowners’ family farm, while the family room focal point is a bluestone dry-stacked hearth and handcrafted mantel with corbel supports.
