The construction of this modern cabin with a timeless feel was remarkable in several ways. The owners lived in Singapore, but wanted to be a part of the construction process on a daily basis. Teakwood set up three live cameras so the client could watch every step, from demolition of the existing structure, through framing with Douglas fir and on to the intricate masonry work with Adirondack stone.
Within restrictive zoning requirements, Teakwood worked to make sure the client didn’t lose out on any of the features that make this home breathtaking. The three-level living space features acres of glass, but avoids a sterile, modern feel through liberal use of rich timber and native stone. Multi-level lounging spaces along the glass blur the lines between the indoors and great outdoors.
