Teakwood Builders designed this great room to resemble a rustic Adirondack lodge, with abundant natural materials and a Rumford fireplace. A bluestone slab tops the raised hearth, while 4-5” thick split-stone veneer surrounds the fireplace and is carried to the ceiling. A rustic-style beam serving as the mantle complements the new timber trusses and posts.

Teakwood designed and built this ample unit to serve as an attractive home office between the kitchen and great room. Deep drawers contain files, while upper cabinets conceal books and media components. Detailed millwork and furniture-like details help to integrate this unit into the nearby living spaces.
Teakwood Builders crafted an addition to this newer Colonial to blend seamlessly with the existing home, both in design and style lines and in matching materials and finishes, such as the siding and roofing. Inside, a new great room evokes an Adirondack Lodge.

The owners of this home wanted to build an addition to their newer Colonial that would resemble an Adirondack lodge. The grand space created by Teakwood Builders includes a fireside lounge area, media zone, bar and adjoining billiards room. Natural stone and massive white pine timber trusses give the great room rustic character, while a rim of windows welcomes abundant natural light and airy outdoor views. The neighboring kitchen was also outfitted with a cozy new dining nook, while an efficient home office space was tucked into a single wall.
